Zest for Life™ is a signature service of Specialty Living communities. The Zest program offers independent seniors an array of services and activities designed to maintain or enhance an active lifestyle. We're referring to such pleasures as:

Sociable dining: menus will be selected to appeal to those who love good food, with healthy choice options introduced at each meal. Wine service will become available as well as a la carte specials and menus for special occasions. Serving staff are provided additional training to provide efficient, courteous and friendly service.

Leisure activities and classes: Zest programs will provide a diverse range of stimulating and enjoyable sessions that support a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit. A wider choice of recreational events will be introduced based on the interests of the residents. Some examples could include:

• Physical fitness: a focus on the body that includes fitness classes, walking clubs, tai chi, yoga, dance and other sports.
  
  
• Mind" fitness: activities that support the brain's need for exercise as much as our bodies do. Residents could enjoy various mental gymnastics games and puzzles as well as intellectually stimulating discussion groups. Enhanced library services will be introduced.
  
  
• A community spirit: an active retirement community that respects spiritual renewal as well as creates new connections to the world around us. A more fulfilling lifestyle can be enhanced through links with local cultural organizations, finding meaningful volunteer work or sharing talents with others.
