Specialty Care is a private, family-owned Canadian company founded in 1977 by Antoine Jourdain, who started with a simple vision: to provide quality care and services for seniors requiring long term care.

Over the years, the values held by the Jourdain family have shaped the company’s growth from four small rural homes to a vibrant and respected leader in seniors’ housing, care and services.

In 1990, Specialty Care opened its first retirement home for independent seniors, a division of Specialty Care now known as Specialty Living.

Today, the company stays close to its roots by partnering with residents, families, employees, volunteers and suppliers in creating communities of caring - a vision that values a culture of choice, independence, individuality, wellness and dignity.
